about ash

A point of view

Ash is modern Italian from The Proper House Group — the team behind the award-winning restaurant, Rooster & the Till

The menu changes with the seasons and Chef Seth Temple's curiosity. There's always something you haven't had before. That's the point — but you don't need to know what to order before you walk in. Our team knows every dish and loves talking through it. Tell us what sounds good, tell us what you're in the mood for, or simply say let us cook for you. We've got the rest.

The room helps, too. A large olive tree anchors the center of the dining room, surrounded by warm tones and curved archways. There's a patio for longer evenings, and happy hour runs every night from 5 to 7. And if the evening calls for it, Alter Ego — our cocktail lounge next door — is there when dinner ends.

The people behind it

Sarah Snyder, General Manager at Ash, at the bar

Sarah Snyder

General Manager

Sarah brings 15 years of hospitality experience to Ash. A Buffalo native, she moved to Florida in 2022 and quickly became a fixture in Tampa Bay's dining scene — leading operations at Allelo, Juno & the Peacock, and Pluma Lounge before joining Proper House Group.

Whether she's opening a new concept or running a full dining room, Sarah's focus stays the same: build a strong team and make every guest feel like they belong. At Ash, that philosophy shapes everything.

Seth Temple, Chef de Cuisine at Ash, in the kitchen

Seth Temple

Chef de Cuisine

Seth grew up on the Cajun outskirts of Lake Charles, Louisiana — where food was local, comfort-driven, and non-negotiable. He trained at Nicholls State's John Folse Culinary Institute and earned a scholarship to Lyon's Institut Paul Bocuse, where classical French technique met Southern instinct.

After years in New Orleans, a stint at Lyle's in London, and a run as Chef de Cuisine at Barroco in Montreal's Old Port, Seth landed at Ash — bringing Louisiana's depth, French precision, and a restless appetite for refinement to every plate.

Allison Favis, Events Manager at Ash, in the dining room

Allison Favis

Events Manager

Allison brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to Ash — from New York City to Australia, and back home to Tampa in 2019. Passionate about creating memorable experiences through food, events, and genuine hospitality, she brings warmth and energy to everything she does.

When she’s not planning events, Allison is spending time with her husband and chasing after her two kids, Sloane and Rio.
